Incorporating Flowers in Your Daily Life, a floral design series led by Michelle Samson/@misafloral in partnership with St.Plant/@st.plant and theTwelve/@thetwelvedc

The first class of the series called The Tools of Floral Design will be held on Saturday, October 23 from 12 pm to 2 pm in theTwelve’s Living Room. Design principles are guiding constants that allow floral designs to be pleasing to the eye. Elements are how the principles are achieved. These concepts are not rules, they are constant guidelines and the tools for all art. Understanding the principles of design and how they interact is vital to any design work. And surprisingly even without having a design background, most people are already conscious about these principles!

In this class, students will create a garden-style flower arrangement. Michelle will provide instruction on the techniques and processes related to floral design combined with discussing the elements and principles of design and how these elements and principles are important in design work.

The ticket price includes instruction, flowers, vessel as well as use of tools during the class. Price is for one class. Limited seats available.

This first class in the series is recommended as it creates the foundation for what will be taught in the next two classes in the series

Class 2: How to Design in Different Vessels on 11/20
